Easton Town Meeting approves new pickleball courts engineering

Last night, Easton Town Meeting attendees voted to approve CPA spending of $38,000 for engineering work for 6 new dedicated pickleball courts. Next steps are to acquire construction bids and obtain final approval. If all goes right, construction can begin June 2020.

Registration is now open for the 2019 Easton Pickleball outdoor season!

Now in its 5th year, the official Town of Easton Adult Pickleball program, is now accepting registrations for the new 2019 outdoor season.

LOCATION: Unionville Courts, Next to Buddy’s Union Villa  

DAYS:  Monday – Wednesday – Friday – Saturday

DATES:  April 29, 2019 – October 2019

TIME:  8:30 am – 11:30 am

SEASON PRICE:  $25

Learn to Play Pickleball Clinic, an adult beginner’s program with instruction by the Easton Pickleball Club

Learn to play the exciting game of Pickleball.

This is a weekly beginner clinic starting Wednesday January 9, 2019 and running for 4 consecutive Wednesdays at the ForeKicks Sports Megaplex in Taunton with instruction by members of the Easton Pickleball Club. The clinic is a pickleball introductory program designed for adults looking to learn and try the game as well as beginners looking to develop their skills.

The program will run for 4 consecutive weeks starting Wednesday January 9, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. Basics of the game including game rules, scoring, strategy and basic strokes will be covered.

Participants are welcome to stay for the Pickleball 2 hr open play session following the clinic included at no charge on the day of the clinic only.

Paddles and balls will be supplied. Normal sports attire and sneakers suggested.

Easton Veterans Appreciation Day – Fri 12/7 – 11am-3pm , Frothingham Hall

Easton Veterans Appreciation Day:

When: Fri 12/7 – 11am-3pm
Where: Frothingham Hall, 15 Barrows Street, Easton
What: Easton VSO along with the COA invite community members to come out in celebration of our veterans.  We will have a pool table, ping pong table, cornhole, checkers and card tables set up.  A light lunch will also be served.  This is open to anyone and everyone, not just veterans.
