Easton Chamber Music Festival presents outstanding performances at the Immaculate Conception Church and the historic Oakes Ames Memorial Hall on June 28 – 30. Free admission.

 

The Easton Chamber Music Festival comes back to Easton for the 4th season. Our renowned international faculty members perform magnificent Schubert’s Octet in the concert on Friday, June 28 at 7:30pm at the Immaculate Conception Church, 193 Main St. The second concert features chamber music by Devienne, Moszkowski, and Dvorak, and is on Saturday, June 29 at 7:30pm at Oakes Ames Memorial Hall, 3 Barrows St. The ECMF students perform in a showcase on Sunday, June 30 at 3pm at OAMH.  All concerts are free.  ECMF is supported in part by a grant from Easton, Brockton, Norton, and Sharon Cultural Councils, by the generosity of Oakes Ames Memorial Hall, Shovel Town Cultural District Performance and Event Center, Mansfield Bank, and members of local communities.

Irish Pub at Queset House – Saturday March 16, 7 to 10 PM

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, come celebrate at our fourth annual Irish Pub at Queset, Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 7 – 10 p.m.! Get your Irish on as we transform Queset House into a rollicking pub for an evening of traditional live Irish seisún music featuring Tim Dorr, Amy Basse, Kevin Kidd and more.  Bring your own instruments and play, and/or sing along! On tap for food and drinks are:
  • Great Irish bites from local restaurants
  • Irish whiskey tasting
  • Cash bar including Shovel Town Brewery beers, wine, water and soda
The Irish Pub at Queset takes place at Queset House, 51 Main Street, North Easton. Tickets are $30 in February, and $35 as of March 1st – but hurry, they sell out fast!

From Bach to Auerbach: Violin Solos with Michael Korn – Tomorrow 1/5/2019, Queset House, 2-3 PM

Michael Korn will be playing solo violin pieces from different epochs, stretching from Bach in the 17th century to Lera Auerbach, a current composer in New York City.
Michael began to play at the age of five and has been delighting audiences all over the world since then!
A not-to-be-missed event – free and open to all!

Muddy Waters & The Rolling Stones – Baby Please Don’t Go (Live At Checkerboard Lounge)

On 22 November 1981, in the middle of their mammoth American tour, the Rolling Stones arrived at Chicago. Long influenced by Muddy Waters and the Chicago blues, members of the band paid a visit to Buddy guy’s club, the checkerboard lounge, to see the legendary Bluesman perform.

It didn’t take long before Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Ian Stewart were joining in on stage…
