Today’s Lions Holiday Festival outdoor activities cancelled – indoor still on – read on…

The Parade (including The Dog Parade), entertainment, food, booths, and other outdoor events have been cancelled for today due to inclement weather. Indoor activities such as Crafters in Oakes Ames Memorial Hall & Kids Party at 2PM are still to be held. The Soupman will still be at the Rockery to collect winter jackets. Questions: Call John Mallers at 781 706 4154

Dear Fellow Lions,

Unfortunately, due to the fairly steady rain today, all outdoor activities associated with the Easton Holiday Festival including the parade have been cancelled.  I would like to note that Taunton has also cancelled its annual Christmas parade.

However, WE STILL NEED HELP WITH THE EVENT TAKE-DOWN later TODAY.  So, at 2 PM, we’ll need over a dozen volunteers to help clean and shift things at Oakes Ames Hall and inside of the booths.  At 3 PM, we’ll need a much bigger group (24+) to help disassemble and store away the food & ticket booths and other miscellaneous items.

We had a rather good turn-out yesterday.  And, on behalf of the event’s organizers, I would like to thank all those who have volunteered and will continue to volunteer to assist in making this year’s festival a reality.

Sincerely yours in Lionism,

Rob Goodrich
